Cardboard case memories

Apologies. I've been without my tools (Adobe CS3) for a couple weeks now after moving systems. We're up and running again though, so the updates are coming.

Thanks for sticking by followers. Here's a treat for all of you that blows everything I've ever done (and will ever do) out of the water. Man, have genre posters ever gone downhill. There are some exceptions (amazing!), but they're endangered species at the moment.

Same goes for good genre flicks. I blame it all on the lack of independent theatres, mom and pop rental stores, drive-ins, the internet, and well...a million other things. Film in general has declined, but genre films have been hit the worst.

I grew up just as 'trash cinema' was making its exit. The 90's. Back when you couldn't go on YouTube and watch those holy grails of violence. Seeing a gory Rated R movie was no easy task. You'd either have to watch it cut up on TV (I didn't have cable), have awesome parents, or be friends with a kid with those awesome parents. The goriest it got at my house was The Temple of Doom, so I had to get my fill over at my friend Eric's house. Lots of sleepovers, lots of Van Damme, Arnie, Stallone, and Seagal, along with anything involving killer animals. Good times.

As much as I love the internet, I'm glad as hell I grew up without it. Kids today creep me out.

I'm sure most of you people are VHS kids as well. Feel free to share a memory below.
